When you are in a tour in Morocco, you will have the chance to taste a traditional Moroccan Tajine, in this post, we will give a simple tips for making a Moroccan tasty Tajine.
first of all there are different types of Tajines,
- Chicken Tajine with lemon & olives.
- Beef Tajine with dried plums/Prunes
- Goat Tajine.
- Camel Tajine with dates.
Today we will start with Chicken Tajine with lemon and olives tips and ingredients.
first of all we will need the following Ingredients:
- A Tajine dish
- 2 Chopped onions
- 1 chopped tomato
- 1 Minced garlic
- 1/2 cup of olive oil
- Chopped parsley
- Whole chicken cut into pieces
Ready!!, Follow the bellow instructions:
Place half of the chopped onions on the bottom of the Tajine.
Place the chicken pieces on the top of the onions.
Add the rest of the chopped onions on the top.
Pour the olive oil on the top and on the interior sides of the dish.
Add a little salt on the top.
Close the Tajine dish and put it on slow fire for 10/15 minutes.
Open the Tajine dish and pour and add the chopped tomato.
Pour 1/2 cup of water.
Add a little salt and chili powder on the top.
Close the dish and put on slow fire for 1h15
